The Web Site Security project will require research on a topic provided along with a presentation and handout of that information.
Details
Select a topic and create a summary to present to the class. Information can be taken from the book and from other resources. A handout will be required to provide an overview of any technical terms, acronyms, or other useful information.
The summary should include the main information on your topic, but should also include any related information such as how the topic has been used in the past, ways to protect and detect against your topic, who created it, were there any legal consequences, etc… Essentially, the more interesting the better!
Your presentation can include the following:
PowerPoint Presentations
Videos related to the topic
Security breaches, hacks, attacks, or other newsworthy information related to your topic
In-class demonstrations (classroom safe please!!!)
Other material pre-approved by your instructor
Your handout should include the following:
Definitions of acronyms or other tech specific jargon related to your topic that may be in your presentation
Timelines of events (if applicable)
Names of individuals or companies involved
